DEDICATION
During its existence of one hundred and forty-three years, Thompson Academy has

been singularly fortunate in having had the leadership of men who, because of their devotion

to the solution of human problems, have been called, "The Keepers of the New England

Conscience." The school which they built and maintained on Thompson's Island without

cost to society stands as a memorial to them and continues its indispensable service to

youth in these difficult times. 



This publication is, therefore, dedicated to the memory of those gentlemen of old

Boston who founded Thompson Academy and those now deceased who have fostered its
